Hi Andrea,
Thanks for the spell check on Davos, now corrected. Davros is the arch enemy of Dr Who! Not sure if that was a Freudian slip.
I don’t give my contact details on the website for security reasons but you can contact me through the comment box via email. But I can give you my contact details when we next meet.
My main reasons for not liking the idea of driverless cars is because like computers and robots they can be hacked. And could be used as weapons.
Rosalind,
“Robots could be used as weapons”
1. By unemployed taxi drivers?
2. That will be the day when traffic violence will be finally dealt severely
There is a vulnerability built into driverless cars that makes them too open to abuse. Sharing taxis, using an app, can also follow an economical route (see Helsinki) and a driver can help with disabled clients. Yes there is always the possibility of human error but segregated cycle routes, private car bans and redesign of HGVs and changes in the law will contribute to safer streets.
Rosalind,
1. It is Davos – No r
2. Impossible to find your contact details on website
3. Here is the article on self-driving cars: https://plus.google.com/104401121686781166984/posts/6Mj5s8LcPtm
