Wheels for Wellbeing Monday morning session at Herne Hill Velodrome is an inspiring empowering and fun way of opening horizons for inclusive cycling. I was very impressed by the attention to detail, customising bikes to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy the sense of freedom that cycling brings. Hand cycling was a new experience, more comfortable than I expected and gave my core muscles a workout.

Ramifications from #dieselgate are massive. We need to ban diesel and petrol cars that are exceeding legal limits, we do not know the numbers yet, but Londoners cannot continue to be suffocated. If this heralds a pivotal switch to cycling and walking, we need to be ready to look at many quick solutions to safely moving people by bike. Being openminded is key to fast changing events, and saving lives and the health of Londoners.
